Minutes of the meeting of the Village Hall Management Committee held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 13th July 2010 at 7.30 p.m.

1. Apologies:

2. The Minutes of the meeting, held on Thursday 13th June were accepted.
3. Fundraising.
David Rossiter, Treasurer, had provided details of the Village Hall’s current financial situation:
Nat. West Account: £6404
Alliance and Leicester: £58526
Total: £64930.
4. Future plans for fundraising.
The following events have been planned:
29th August. Classic Car Show.
Gardeners Question time.
16th October. Craft Fair and Nearly New.
19th November. Themed Supper.
? March. Swainby Got Talent.
There was considerable discussion about the plans for the Village Hall Refurbishment. The view was expressed that in view of the huge amount required for a total refurbishment, it may be advisable to break the work down into stages. However as some of the members who had been involved in the planning process and applications for funding were not present, it was suggested a further meeting be called as soon as possible.
There was also a discussion about how to attract more families with younger children to fundraising events and a Magic Night was suggested.
