Minutes of the meeting of the Village Hall Management Committee held in the Village Hall on Thursday 14^th May 2010 at 7pm.

Present:

Mike Foster.

Caroline Pickering. Secretary.

Alan Pickering, Diana Foster, Sue Cooke, Sue Lawton, Jennifer Swales, Dorothy Johnson, Jan Coles, Carol Cook.

Apologies: John Atkins.

Agenda:

1. Nomination of Chair of the Management Committee for 2010/2011.
2. Any Other Business.
3. Date of the next Meeting.

1. It was proposed that Mike Foster be co-opted onto the Village Hall Management Committee. Proposed by Sue Cooke and seconded by Jennifer Swales. The proposal was therefore agreed.

Mike Foster was nominated to be Chair of the Village Hall Management Committee by Sue Lawton and seconded by Sue Cooke. The nomination was therefore accepted.

2. Any Other Business.

1. Heating. Jem Beadle has been asked about switching the heating on before classes and has agreed to do this.
2. Keys. The following have a set of keys: Alan Pickering, Carol Cook and Rosemary Lincoln. It was agreed that more keys needed to be cut.
3. Fundraising. There followed some discussion about the plans for the refurbishment of the Village Hall and fundraising. Possible options discussed were: application to the Leader Project; match funding by the Parish Council; and an approach to the Rural Community Council.
